We have developed a draft version of the personnel equipment list for DMAT members being deployed. This list is is divided into web belt/fanny pack that you would keep with you at all times and the duffle bag with the remainder of your equipment. While this list looks extensive and costly the present concern with increased readiness is to consider what equipment you would need to have to function in an area where the DMAT cache has already been deployed. Most of the equipment included is available in camping and military surplus stores.

** This list is being reviewed by the steering and logistics committees to determine what equipment the team can purchase that is general and may be too costly for individual team members. Personal items from the list will be the responsibility of the individual. We are NOT advocating that team members run out and purchase the equipment listed please review the list and consider what items you may need or can get reasonably quickly in the event we get deployed. The list includes items that would only be relevant under certain environmental conditions. In the event of an actual deployment the list of necessary equipment would be modified to mission specific requirements.

If you have any questions please contact Deputy Commander Dave Johnson at 412-473-3315
